1975 evinrude 75 hp 3 cylinder. The control box is also 1975. This engine is seriously trying to go to the bone yard
The control box, when I bought it, would skip the gear that controls the shift/throttle controls. I replaced the one arm that I could (the other is no longer available) and it fixed it. Now, alluvasudden, we're back to skipping, and its worse
on top of that, I think I FINALLY diagnosed my loss of power at WOT to be a bad power pack, but now the control is keeping it out of the water.......So i'm done!!!!!
Its getting a new control. Looking at Brp control #5006180 with the wiring harness #176711. We are talking $400 My question is does anybody know where I can get a screaming deal on this?
What really pisses me off is I overnighted the power pack to get it on the motor to use this weekend Now it isn't going ANYWHERE without a new control box.
