Evinrude E-15 RESR ?

Help from you Evinrude experts. I am trying to purchase a fishing boat with an Evinrude model # E-15 RESR over the Internet. The seller has no idea what the motor is (unfortunately, neither do I) as she inherited it from an uncle.

Can anyone help me out and tell me what exactly that motor is?

Obviously it's a 15 hp, but is it a 2 or 4-stroke. Is it short shaft or long-shaft? Fuel injected or carburetted. What year range?

are you sure these are all the #s?

you can go to crowleymarine.com and see if you can decifer this # i just read about this site in another thread but i couldnt make heads or tales with your #s.

Unfortunately, that is all the info that Seller has given me. I guess I'll just have to go and check it out in person :redface:

by the way the #s should also be on the motor on a little silver plug bout the size of a quater. it looks like a freeze plug.
