Evinrude, ecu codes, 81, 82, 84 etc, coil packs

Hi all, I am getting check engine light on my 2000 175 FICHT, and codes are 81, 82 etc, all 6 coil packs, it is saying not working properly, I am sure all 6 did not go bad at once, I read on another forum possible ecu/emm replacement, anything else to check first before I go this route, I do have a spare engine, but it does not have a ecu/emm on it.

I would have a dealer check the EMM with computer ... should tell the story. You don't want to replace one on a guess.

Hi, I have the software and checked it with my laptop, I did have a TPS code which I readjusted and set the TPS properly, it only has 6 codes now, for each coil pack. Thanks for anyone who can help.

I have Etec's, so my sw is entirely different. Must be tests outlined in shop manual for verifying EMM integrity, but again I have shop manual for Etec's, not Ficht.
