evinrude ficht 175

I am looking to buy a second hand boat with a 175 evinrude ficth motor manufactured in july 2000<br />the motor has done 150 hours<br />Does any body have any favourable/unfavourable comments on this model motor?

I've been running a 2000 175 Evinrude Ficht since I bought it in July 2000. I've had absolutly no problems.

It get's good gas and oil milege and very quite for motors built during that period.

I've heard the 2000's offered the fix they had with earlier models but, it may just be hit or miss.

I would have t checked out by a good mechanic before I bought.-Good luck!
