Evinrude High Speed Carb Adjustment

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the high speed on the Carb of an Evinrude 40HP Model 40453R S/NE04582? I have a 28HP and the adjustment is right on the carb and labeled. I don't see this adjustment on the 40.<br /><br />Also what is the fuel/oil mixture ratio on the 40HP?

Jake W <br />1964 On the original carb it has a low (top) speed needle and the high speed (bottom) has a needle valve that is adjustable. If the carb has been replaced by a later model it may have a fixed high speed jet, it would have a slotted screw/hex head screw that plugs the hole at the bottom, front of the carb. Some of the engines I see are frankensteins, combos of anything that fits. <br />Backfire
