tag serial number says 18803M-E02989 Also carb has number 376972 stamped on it. maybe just if possible to I.D. carb. So iy is right one before installing new kit. Thanks so much for the help!!

Lewkster..... Your engine is a 1968 18hp Evinrude. I have no idea what that carburetor number pertains to though.<br /><br />However, the original OMC carburetor kit number is #382049 but has been superceeded up to OMC #439071. Hope that helps you our somewhat.
