hey this is jake from CA i just bought what i think is a 15 hp evinrude, but i cant find what year or anything cuz the data plate is missing. the number on the freeze plug is h0199997. any help would be greatly appriciated. the mix ratio says it is 100/1. im pretty shure it is around a 1987 model due to the red lanyard kill switch on the end of he tiller handle.

You are probably correct on the year. Or at least close. The 100:1 was only a year or two, then changed back to 50:1 and you are supposed to remove the decal. I'm not certain of the exact years that happened. They had problems with the internals rusting at 100:1.

The "H" means made in Hong Kong. That help?
