Evinrude ID?

Just picked up an aquasport with v-4 evinrude. The ID tag is missing.. is there any other way do ID an engine? year and size?<br />will take any help.<br />thanks

Look for a serial number stamped on engine

highandry,<br />Congrats on your boat purchase.<br />There should be a plate with model and serial numbers on the port side of the transom bracket. If that is missing, sometimes posting a pic and all the info you can find might get you a response.<br />Good luck
