Hi. New here so please bear with me. I bought a Lone Star 15 footer with an Evinrude Lark 35 outboard. We noticed a lot of funny looking stuff in the fuel bowl, so removed the carb to clean it. The float is made or covered with of some odd material that is deteriorating and needs to be replaced. The serial and model numbers from the engine plate read like this;
Evinrude
35517
13633
Can anyone help me determine the year of this engine and help me find a place online where I can easily find and order a replacement float, carburetor repair kit and a few other small items to get this engine running again. Thanks in advance for your help. John

35517 = 1959
Not sure about the parts but someone once reference a place that had a lot off those old parts.

You can get a carb kit, with a new plastic float from any Johnnyrude dealer. They may have to order it, but it's available. Someone will come along shortly with a part number for you. I don't have it handy.
