My dad has an old 35hp Evinrude Lark. I believe it is a "Golden Jubilee" edition which would mean it is a 1959 model (right?). It has sat unused for about 9-10 years but it ran really great at times back in the late 90's and early 2000's. It just quit getting used because the old tri-hull it was on was waterlogged and had transon issues on top of that. My dad tried to repair it but it was just too far gone.
I have gotten real into tinkering with small engines and have done some extensive work on a 70HP Force I own and think I can bring this old motor back to life. I'd like to get a solid manual before I dig too much into but I am not sure which one is going to be best for it. Solec and Clymer both offer one. I have the Clymer for the Force which is decent but I have never owned a Solec so I don't have much to compare to. Any opinions as to which one is better? I don't think the motor needs anything major, just a full fledged tune-up and possibly a new starter.
