just bought a little buddy bass boat that came equipped with a 3 horse evinrude <br />ser #3030 02949 wondering if anyone knows what year it was manufactured.great running little engine.runs much better than its new owner and i figure we are about the same age.thanks

thanks petrolhead,i guess it is no wonder the little motor runs better than i do,it is 10 years younger than me.at least i have more hair.just noticed it says on the front of the motor ,evinrude golden jubilee wonder if 59 was their 50 th. anniversary?the little boat also came with an old trolling motor .it is an <br />electra pal .wonder if any one has any info on that.thanks

thanks for the info and the pics .wish my little enginewasas pretty as the picture but i can't imagine it running any better than it does now.just saw a 52 anda 55 on ebay for saleone of them was up to $160.00 others must know about the little motors too.take care,ironhorse49

I just picked up a donor motor on eBay for £10 ($18), there are several parts on it that I can use to restore mine including the cylinder head. Mine has a partially stripped sparkplug thread, and this was much cheaper than having a helicoil fitted. I'll also use one half of the transom clamp as mine has been repaired with a rather ugly weld, then I'll just clean and bag up the remainder and keep the good stuff for spares.
