I recently received an Evinrude trolling motor from my grandfather. It is a small motor and has a Serial Number 1802S-E02067. It seems to be in working condition but it is missing the pull rope to start the motor and the choke knob. The choke knob protrudes from the front but is connected to an arm extending from the carb. How old is this motor?<br />Please advise me on who to contact to purchase these parts as I would like to get the motor in operating condition. Thank you, Keith Anderson, Olympia, WA

Keith,Your evinrude 1802S is a 1.5 hp 1968 model. As for the pull rope replacement I'm guessing you could secure purchase of one through any outboard dealer facility or marine repair shop that would fit on your motor. Is pull start assy. all in tact just less the rope? The original choke knob may be a bit difficult to locate.Maybe you could just attach some other knob to choke linkage arm.
