Evinrude oil question

I have a guestion. Which 2 cycle oil is better to use in a premix stiuation XD 25 or XD 50 . I have a 1991 Evinrude 20 HP motor running 50 to 1

The XD-25 has been superceded to XD-30<br /><br /><br />Both oils are good, but you will find that the semi-synthetic XD-50 smokes less.

Racefan2,<br />I have a 1990 30 HP Johnson. This is the second season I've used XD100 @ 50 to 1. I've found less smoke with this oil. The only bad thing is it is $30.00 a galon. I'ts worth it to me for less smoke. For what it's worth I checked with the tech support people at Bombardier if they recomended ETEC oil for this motor, reply was sure, if you don't mind paying for it.

Thank you for the information. I picked up the xd 50 for 15.99 as I had a 20% off coupon for a total purchase so I just added it in with my onboard charger
