Hi guys
I was wondering if someone can make a video you using the timming fixture of setting the points on a evinrude fleetwin 7.5 or so . I would like to see a video of it , you know that seeing is beleving . I want to know the ins and out of this procedure like using the mutimeter for opening and closing of the points . Also the refference mark on the flywheel which is the smaller one on the flywheel and larger one . I see that the timming fixture is best for proper points setting on these motors . I downloaded some brochure from the internet for evinrude . Its very helpfull , but when Im looking at so of my older posts on here . I see that the brochure shows you how to set the points with the timming fixture plus use a mutimeter for open and close of the points .
When I did my points this year back in the spring I was unclear about using the mutimeter and using the refference marks of my flywheel like some link site from here . There seams to be too ways to set the points . But there's only one right way to get them on the money for a proper setting . That way she will be tuned and fire on first pull . Im not looking for a alley mechanic way to do things . I like things ship shape and working sound , sorry thats the way I am with my stuff.
So can someone please place a video up on youtube on how to use the timming fixture with a evinrude fleetwin 5.5 or 7.5 it wont matter just as long as it can work for me . You get what Im asking you guys to do . I know that most people have video recording phones nowdays . Iphone and so forth .
P.S GUYS . I had alot of fun working on my motor with the help of you good men and women on this website . I would like to thank you for your help and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all .
