I know what yer talkin' about Bob but don't know what resistance the resistor is. I'm lazy and bought one from Stevens Test Equip. I've heard of guys makin' them though. Least this will get a bump back to the top.

It is esasy to test sensor coils ( trigger ) and charge coils.-----4 coils do not fail at once.----Not sure of the benefits in testing with a " load adapter "------What is your motor doing / not doing ?

These ignition systems are easy to trouble shoot.
Uhh, I don't know about that, at least for me, I'm having a heck of a time trying to diagnose a spark issue, 1st, intermittent spark, then spark on port side only, then no spark at all. New stator, used but supposedly good timer base off ebay, new power pack, then switch back to old power pack. Still no spark. I try testing per the Seloc manual I have, but I can only do so much with what I have, a pretty simple meter, but no dva or load adapter. Some of the ohm readings I get seem correct, some are consistent but seem low ( I guess). Quite frustrating.
