Willy, it is possible, but probably not worth the $$ on a 1974 engine. you would have to have the starter and starter bracket, recifiter to charge battery, wiring harness, switches, battery. this cost would be a good lump toward another motor. and sell the present motor. the only option is to find a compatible parts motor on ebay, for a donor to your motor.
