Evinrude suposed 40hp year identification.

Can any one identify, the year model of this Evinrude outboard?
Is said to be a 40 hp. There are no tags any where, i have found no serial numbers.
It is a single carb, two cylinder power head.
Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like a late 80's or early 90's 30 hp to me .----That style / model of motor was not marketed as a 40 HP in those years !!
