iRich,<br /><br />No guarentees here, but I haf a 1973 85 that had a unit on it that looked identical.<br /><br />Check one thing on your 85. You should see three drilled and tapped holes on each side of pivot bracket (facing rearward) on the 85. If they are there, that big green bracket you see on the ebay listing bolts into those holes. That bracket goes between the swivel bracket and the exhaust housing.<br /><br />The Johnson/Evinrude brand names make no difference in interchangeability.

i have that same setup on my motor.i wouldn't get it if the price goes over 150.00.the pump can't be bought anywhere if it went out.the motor is a little over 200.00 if it broke and the cylinders are around 200.00 a piece.it would be better if you could get a newer style trim&tilt and get some brackets for a newer motor and use them.it might be a little more expensive but you can get parts for a newer system a lot easier
