Hey guys i have an 05 90Etec i started it up today on the hose and it ran a bit sporadic kinda sounded like it was sucking alot of air so i pulled the air housing off and it started lurching row row row very fast so shut it down and re-cranked ran fine after that but i noticed the sensor on top of the carb housing was the culprit if i tapped it it would lurch and rev. I shut everything down and disconnected the sensor and reconnected to make sure it wasn't just loose after that it ran like a champ even on the water. My question is could that have really been the problem or is there a possibly underlying issue that i should be concerned with?
