how does a '98 evinrude 35hp 3 cyl. match up against a yamaha 30hp 3 cyl.?

Pretty poor question for evinrude owners,That being said I am so confident in my Evinrudes, I'd never consider any of the other brands.Non of em.

The 3 cyl Rude is a bigger CC engine than the Yammy and both run and idle about the same. The only problem with the Rude is there is very few aftermarket items offered for it,example impeller is OEM only.

The Evinrude has 5 more horsepower and it has a birthdate. Go with the 'Rude.

Go with the Rude, it was one good mtr. It was a schrunken version of the 60* v-6 cut in half.

Rude.. i have an evinrude and johnson (same company) and both are beasts. one went 5 years without starting. one new part and it came to life.. your going to love the rude. plus jb said to get it.. i would listen to him lol
