Evinrude warning horn

I have a 1995 Evinrude 90 Hp V4 60 degree model and the warning horn goes off every 30 seconds for a short noise. It sounds like the low oil warning sound but there is plenty of oil in the tank. It started only at idle but now does it at all speeds. It even does it with only the key turn on but the motor not running. Any ideas? :(

Try disconnecting the wires to the low oil sensor and see if it stops.

Re: Evinrude warning horn

Thanks for the response. If I disconnect the two pin connector at the engine. The noise stopped. My guess would then be a bad low oil sensor inside the oil tank. Does the whole unit have to be replaced?
