Evinrude water pressure

I am wondering what the water pressure in pounds should be on a 1991 Evinrude 20 HP. Don't laugh but the motor is on a CMC pt35 TNT which raises the motor a good bit up and back 6 inches and I just want to be sure I am getting good water pickup at WOT

I don't know what the pressure should be, Scott, but it should hold firm at any given RPM.<br />The 6" setback actually helps in the fact the farther back the engine is, the higher the water-line is on the lower unit at speed. The setback won't hurt but it may lift it enough (CMC) to take a look. <br />How high is the AV plate compared to boat bottom???

CMC says to just watch and make sure there is water pressure at the motor but it is hard to watch for the pisser going dry and watching where you are going. I am just being causious.<br /><br />The motor is about 1 1/2 inches above the transom.

1-1/2" you will be fine with 6" setback.
