There's a small side cover with 2 screws about midway down on the starboard side of the down housing. The shaft shaft clamp is located behind the cover. Remove the side cover, then remove the bottom bolt of the clamp. Only loosen the top bolt of the clamp enough for shaft to slide out.<br /><br />
The covers to remove the shift linkage are the black plastic screens that cover the water intakes on the lower unit... Once they are removed follow Waterbug's instructions...
