These engines are available from time to time here in the UK. They usually come from the RNLI, police, customs and UK Forces. The one that has caught my eye is the Mariner 2 cylinder 40 HP. The dealer has told me these engines have been out on rent for 12 months, they are then workshoped and then after a good inspection then sold on although with a 12 month manufacturers warranty.<br /><br />Can anybody put a downside on this as it appears too good to be true. I am being asked for about 40% of it's new price and these engines are sold as practically new with warranty.<br /><br />Also the engine that has been offered is not oil injection and relies on pre-mix, is this normal for such a modern piece of kit to utilise...<br /><br />Regards all. Who makes engines for Mariner at the moment? , if it is just over 12 months old is it a Yammy or a Merc....pls help...
