My Stringer Ball Gears have some wear on them and I have seen worse being sold on Ebay. If you see one like this for sale, RUN AWAY SCREAMING!

Looks like half of the balls are worn off..:%

I get a laugh out of some of the stuff on ebay.
you ever notice how everything says freshwater only? You know thats bull on a lot of those parts.
I did get a very nice trim pump and motor for 75 bucks, works like new..

Hey Lyndy, did you buy that pressure-vacuum tester? If so how did you like it?

Missed the one I wanted on acution at the time and have not seen it listed since. Sure another one will show up. I wonder if the Ball Gear Wrench I just picked up off Ebay will work on a Ball Gear that bad? HeHeHe

Be carefull what you buy. Some are held on by large nuts, some are press fit on a tapered shaft. At this moment, I'm not sure which is which. I think it is safe to say that yours is held on by the nuts. At least my '75 /79 is.

You're going to be an invaluable resource when you get done with this project. Kind of, the go to guy.
