I am doing another project boat, (21' Double Eagle), and it came to me in a flash. I thought how about an electric chainsaw to remove stringers etc. SO I bought one. Just a little 16" job. Talk about quick work in destructing. I was able to cut through where the stringers were tabbed to the hull in about 3-5 minutes per stringer in a 21' boat. Saved huge time. I was also able to cut the tabs for the sole and combined with a skil saw remove the sole in record time. If this has been suggested before forgive me, but it sure works. If you graze the hull it bounces off and the throttle can be easily modulated for tricky areas. I also used it to remove the transom. I just mark the tip with black felt pen the depth I want to go and make vertical cuts every 3-4" and chisel out the blocks.
