Based on a recommendation earlier, I chased down the February 2000 issue of "Trailer Boats" magazine. There is an article describing how the VRO works, the different versions, some suggested maintenance, overall, IMO, an article worth reading by every VRO owner out there.
Right now I don't recall who originally suggested it, but a big thank you to whoever it was.

Charles :)

Re: Excellent VRO article!

You are welcome.

Trailer Boats and Bass and Walleye Boats have the best how-to stories and articles for the "do-it-yourselfer" compared to other boating magazines. To bad the stories are not on-line for reference.

Re: Excellent VRO article!

Seahorse:
My apologies for forgetting you.

2K Boat:
I found the back issue at a public library. If your local library doesn't have it, they probably can get copies of the article from another library that does have it. The libraries seem to be able to check out each other's inventory. My local library found it for me and could have had the article copied and sent to them. I happened to be going near the library that had the magazine and made my own copies.
As far as posting it on-line, #1. It might infringe on copyright laws(?), #2. I wouldn't have the least idea how to do it. I do have a scanner.
It was in the Feb., 2000 Trailer Boats. "Bad Rap", was the name of the article. Written by Bill Grannis. Starts on page 102, continues on page 103, 104, skips 105(ad), and concludes on page 106.
We were unable to find "Bass and Walleye Boats" magazine in any of our local libraries. If I remember correctly, BWB was the January 2000, issue.
(Side Note) Love the name of the article, "Bad Rap". How can you have "Good Rap"? :D

Charles
