Two cycle motors have transfer ports to allow fuel and air to enter the cylinder and exhaust ports to allow exhaust to leave the cylinder. In a nutshell, the piston goes up drawing fuel and air from the carb, thru the (one way) reed valves, into the crankcase. The piston goes down compressing the fuel and air in the crankcase. Near the bottom of the piston travel, the transfer ports are exposed and the fuel and air rushes from the crankcase to the cylinder driving out the exhaust from the previous cycle. The piston goes up compressing the fuel and air, and drawing fresh fuel and air into the crankcase. Spark plug ignites the compressed fuel and air, and the power generated drives the piston down, forcing fresh fuel and air into the cylinder.....
