Rebuilding 1987 johnson 175. Model number j175tlcua. Between block and exhaust manifold has two orings and then the gasket around them(gasket is cut so relying on orings ) The gasket set I got don't have orings and the gasket appears to go around the two oring holes as old was cut out around them. Get orings and cut gasket? Or this revised?! Thanks

I understand your confusion. This gasket came in different flavors from the factory. The 1978 (early) 235 gasket supercession goes like this: 323216-326688-328770-393561. I have a 323561 from the factory. It's a Victor gasket. Looks to be a thick green/brown coated paper gasket. No cutout. It has instructions for use with the later engines with the orings. The factory diagram shows how to cut it. You will need two orings: 329381, 329380. I also have another gasket from the factory which must be a later version. Bought it for my 1983 2.6. Part number 330291 It's a silver-colored gasket. With cutout. Looks to be almost like a metal gasket. Is special order. No supercession. Your 87 uses a 329378 which supercedes to the 329561 without the cutout.
