My 97 Force 75 hp is leaking exhaust gasses into the cowl so bad it won't run. I had the powerhead off at the first of the season due to 3 broken bolts that hold it down.

The gasket was swollen out on the backside pretty bad but I tried to use it (in a hurry).

There was one place under there that the previous owner had used red silicone and there was another gasket (the one mentioned above). There was also s rubber like thing that went on the end of the exhaust tube.

Which gasket is likely the on that needs to be replaced?

thanks

So the spacer plate gasket is what seals the exhaust gases from the cowl? Just want to make sure and not order the wrong gasket. I'm sure it will be obvious when I get the motor off but I would rather have the part before I tear it apart.

thanks
