I have found a hole in the 3 to 4 inch upper exhaust bellows on my 1986 305. I have order the new parts and it looks like there is 4 radiator type clamps holding it on and looks fairly easy to replace. Is this the case or is this job going to a big pain in the arse. any sugestions would be helpful and greatly appreciated

Re: Exhaust help

Easy job but easier if you take the risers off to do it. Replace the riser gasket when you remove it. Good time to check risers and exhaust manifold for blockage. Is the rubber piece just cracked or is it melted?

Re: Exhaust help

Not a bad job at all if you remove the riser..

Could the hole be from something rubbing it there? Like maybe the engine cover when its closed?

Oh,Where is our manners?...

Re: Exhaust help

Should be an easy fix..
Take the riser bolts out, loosen the 2 front hose clamps and pull the riser off the boot. Then the two rear clamps and pull the boot off..
A big screwdriver and a little twisting...;)
