exhaust manifold gasket 77 johnson

I was wondering if anybody on here has taken off there exhaust gasket without haven to remove the powerhead the bolts on the bottom of the exhaust housing look like it is impossible to remove i was wondering if there is a trick. my motor is a 77 johnson 70 hp. any input on this would be appreciated.

I have a '73 65HP (similar setup). I was able to loosen the lower motor cover and shift it over so I could loosen the exhaust bolts. Then I removed the exhaust manifold, plate and cover as one assembly with the lower bolts still installed in their respective holes (although loosened from the powerhead, obviously). Then, start scraping. Good luck.
