Engine temp reads normal. How hot should exhaust manifolds get during cruise operation? Should you be able to lay a hand on them or will they be hot to the touch? Is there any published data for normal temperature range?

Mine are hot to touch although recently I thought they used to be cooler. I'm told it's normal, 100-110 degrees at the elbow.

You should be able to touch them if water flow is adequate.

Barring the use of a gauge: Via the hands, they should be really really warm. If they are hot enough that you can't stand to keep your hand on them... that is too hot.

Mine are too hot to lay a hand on and keep it on. A tech at the local Sea Ray shop said it's normal. A buddy with a considerable amount of boat engine experience says it's not, but he doesn't make his living at this. These manifolds are four years old.
