Hi Guys
2000 Volvo 5.0Gi,
Getting ready to install new exhaust manifolds and risers.
The manual states to torque bolts then run engine up to temp and re-torque.
Do I re-torque while the engine is hot or wait until it cools down?

Also, do I have to re-torque the riser bolts too, or just the manifold bolts?
Thanks

Eactly what manual are you looking at? Sure hope you don't say Clymers or Seloc.

Don,
From your comment I take that I do not have to re-torque the bolts??

From my comments you should take that the info you read in that manual, may not be real world.
What is the full model number of your engine, even the SN would work for me.

SN not needed, the EF in the model number is all I needed.

The manifold bolts get torques to 20 -26 ft lbs.
The OEM metal shim riser gasket comew with innstructioins, did you look at them, Sure do hope you aren't going to try using aftermarket gaskets for the risers.
