exhaust mod? 1980 jonnyrude 4hp

Hi all,<br /><br />I am working on a 1980 model 4hp. It is an Australian made model so there are some small differences.<br /><br />I am wondering if there would be any benefit to opening up the exhaust outlet.<br /><br />

Opening up the exhaust will make it louder - that's about it. The 4hp doesn't produce a whole lot of exhaust to begin with, so that's not really a restriction...<br />- Scott

ok, I will leave it alone. I just had to wonder, since the diagrams for the american made models seems to show a larger opening. And I can't find a whole lot of info on the Aussie made models.
