exhaust pipe on 5.7 GSi

I have a 2000 5.7 Gsi PEFS that i am replacing. I was going to reinstall the exhaust pipe, so I could clean and inspect it, but i don't understand why the kit comes with 2 gaskets? Am I missing something in my planing? It comes with two but I can't see where two are used anywhere?

I looked at the kit and it comes with 2, but note they appear to me to be slightly different shapes. Many times the manufacture will put both variations in the same kit so if the user has an older or newer design.

The kit includes 3852846 and 3860984
