Hi Guys, i took the boat for a service a few weeks ago - its about a 20 mile round trip by water. The nearest slip is about 8 miles away anyway background over the boat is moored at the end of my garden and i noticed when i was home the exhaust has popped off (outside of the boat) from where it goes down and out to the prop. How easy would it be to put back on in the water? water is about 3ft deep so can get in with some waders on? also same question but to the speedo hose as thats popped off (and has been for a while!)

Thanks

Ayuh,.... Bring it back to whoever did the job,....

The drive has to come off, to attach the exhaust bellows,....

Ain't gonna happen at the dock in the water,...

Here's some bellows installation tips for you,

What year is your Alpha stern drive?
If it's an Alpha one Gen 2 drive model then chances are if the speedometer didn't work before and after the servicing of the stern drive components then either they didn't re-install the hose connector fitting back up or the connector is broken which may make connecting the speedo hose back up a bit more difficult on you as you may need a new hose connector.

Over the years Mercruiser has had a few different design fitting connectors. Usually a year model or stern dive serial number helps narrow down the design fitting connector yours may have but when possible it's always best to try and compare any leftover pieces with some of the images such as in the following link, http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...rs&FORM=HDRSC2
