Re: Exhaust question
When the boat is idling while floating normally in the water, it's difficult for the engine. It has to push all that exhaust down 20 inches before it comes out the prop. The engineers designed the exhaust relief ports on the back upper part of the midsection to improve the idle characteristics of the engine. As such, you will see some exhaust coming out those ports at idle. When you are up on plane, most of the exhaust exits efficiently through the prop.
