exhaust tube, or no tube???

I have a 96 alpha one gen 2, my exhaust bellows keeps comming off at the drive side and i was reading around about the tube and would like to get that but cannot find one, i ordered one and it was a bellows. my question is after all the reading i have done it almost seems as though it would be fine to just take my bellows off and go with it. i do not beach my boat, i back to the beach and anchor out. if anyone knows the part # for a tube i would greatly appercieate(sp) it.

The tube is still directing most of the exhust through the outdrive, as it was designed to do.

as far as noise and fumes dont mind that, i have a large swim platform and i dont idle to much, cruise to the spot and shut off, not much of a no wake zone at all. i will prob get a tube as soon as i can find one though, i was just curious

You can use the boat without the bellows. It wont harm anything.
You said your bellows keeps coming off; are you not using bellows adhesive when you install it?

yup that where i ordered mine from and when i got it it was a bellows

I take it that you are referring to eBay?

Did you look at the link in iboats? The picture tells it all!

P.S. As easy as the tube is to install (10 minutes), I would not go with no bellows (or tube) whatsoever.

no thats the page i ordered mine, i got the mallory "tube" and when i got it, it was a bellows and i checked to make sure i got the right thing and the sn matched up

no i got 9-72703 like it says on the page you sent for mallory tubes for a alhpa gen 2

72703 is bellows, as you have found out, sounds like time for an exchange.
