exhuast plate gasket on FORCE 50

use silicone or hi temp or dry or whats the drill?<br /><br />finally got eh gaskets, the plates is flat, and im heoping to install the new gaskets soon.<br /><br />I found the torque spec like 71 inch/lbs, but I didnt find a reference to a sealant or not?<br /><br />opinons?

Hi Ozark <br />I have a factory manual, I also could not find any refrence as to sealant. I personly like a little goop on this area. This would of course depends on the type of gasket. Do your gaskets have the newer allready sealer stuff on them? If they are just standard gasket material, I might use a little permatex. As it dose not say to use sealer, you may not have to. Sorry I guess i'm not much help.

Dry assembly, torque to 1/2 specs. in rotation, then to full tension

great, I did it this wekend, and used some hi temp permatex, I didnt use much, and only on the very outer edge ( careful no to get any inse) and the bolt holes.<br /><br />I guess I I have to do it again I will!<br /><br />it was a pain without pulling the cowl.<br /><br />thanks for the help guys!
