I am sanding my hard top from my 76 SeaRay to spray with fresh gelcoat. Along the back edge about every 4 inches across the hard top from side to side are the old snap fittings from a camper canvas that I do not have. Should I remove them? If I remove them should the holes be filled or can a canvas company do new canvas with snaps to match the existing snap fittings that could be put back into the existing holes?

if your going back to snaps, just re-use the holes, as indicated above, your canvas guy/gal can use the existing snap stud locations

if you are ditching the snaps for either a track or other means, fill them prior to spraying.

Thanks, I hadn't thought about using something other than snaps.. Guess I will look into that to see if there is something easier to "put up and take down"...
