i have a tracker pro-18 with a 60 hp mariner. it had an aluminum 13 pitch prop on it, it was scratched etc, so i put a 12 pitch stainless steel prop on it and the rpm is bout the same and the speed gave me 1 mph. so my question is does this change anything bout the motor? people say that stainless makes drastic changes and so on. so what are they talking bout? what is drastic? someone said it could ruin a piston, whass this bout?

Who ever told you that is an idiot unless you remove the piston, put it in a vise and beat the living h*ll out of it with the prop. Wear gloves, you could cut yourself <br /><br />Aldo
