Hello and Happy New Year to all! I seriously need advice on whether it's economical or even possible to complete the restoration of my boat.
I have been working on this restore for the last six months or longer and I jumped into this project knowing that one of the first priorities was to gain access and repair the hole in the middle of the hull.
Even now, this repair of this area hasn't discouraged me from making progress _until_ I discovered that the bilge area in the aft end of the boat needs serious rebuilding.
The fiberglass in that area was originally water logged and after drying, I was able to pull it up easily discovering that I'm pretty much down to the gelcoat.
If you notice the area on the left of the picture, you should be able to see the area im talking about. The second picture if a closer shot.
I imagine if I stomped the area, my foot would go straight through.
I know from seeing amazing work here that it's possible to repair, but I am very concerned about how to proceed with this repair and if I will be able to maintain the structure and integrity of the hull after replacing two large areas.
Any comments welcomed.
