I have a 96 proline cuddy cabin, and on the outside i have 7 seat cushions and 3 combing pads, they are not in the worst shape, miscolored and have stained, the pads are cracking some. i am looking at getting them re done but thinking about selling in a year or 2, do you think its worth getting them done???

If you get them done, then you get to enjoy the look of your new upholstery...as well as add to the selling point.
I have redone some of that work myself. You can remove them and using an upholsterer and the right grade of marine vinyl, have them recovered. They can also replace any foam as needed. The two boats I did, I saved several hundred dollars over quotes from a dealer. Good luck!

I think upgrading anything that needs work is well worth it for ME while on the boat for appearance / self satisfaction. Whether you recoup the cost when selling in a year is another story and uncertain. But if me, I would still do it for my satisfaction if the old ones were bothering me.

there not that bad, but would, in mymind, look a whole lot better. the are in good condition so would just need to be recovered.

Worn out upholstery can make your boat look older and poorly maintained even if it's not. I think it would be a worthwhile investment both for your self and the boat's value.

Re doing the upholstery isnt cheap but it adds a lot to the impression the boat makes on potential buyers and in this market the way I'd look at is being practical...it's not a good market, you may not get back the dollar amt you spend but the boat will sell faster...I re-did most of the interior of my 88 Four Winns (had the bow cushions re-done, installed new seats from Overton's) and the coaming pads were still OK...it looked 100% better now I just have to deal with the oxidized gelcoat!
