extra gasket in set

I got a carb gasket set for a tillotson carb it is off of my 85hp chrysler. It came with 1 gasket ring to seal the bowl and two small rings that go on the bolt that holds on the bowl. The problem is, there is a small brass ring that i do not know where it goes.if anyone is familar with this kit please tell me where to look.

I am not familiar with that kit, but I, too, have had the experience of parts kits having parts left over and in some instances not having what might be expectedin them. Errors do occur and some kits are made for several versions of the part and include what is needed for all versions so some parts in the kit remain unused. Good luck! It is unsettling when you put something back together and there is a piece left over.

thanx darnold, I too have had other kits with extra parts such as two diferent seals for the same part. but what worries me is that this is brass &everything else in it was gasket material. I didn't mention the first time that it is a Tillotson single barrel carb & there is three carbs. Hope this may help somone to recognize it.

one of those is red o rings that goes on the bolt and the brass one goes on the bolt on the inside of the bolt before bolting it to the carb
