I'm supposed to drop my boat off at my repair shop on Friday morning, temps are expected to be below 5degrees, is there anything I need to be concerned with, it's about an hour and a half trip

very cold weather affects your tire pressure. Check them.

ALWAYS a good idea to check tire pressure

let the truck warm up a little longer s you'll be nice n toasty

the trailer won't care any more than the truck does

I guess I'm more concerned with the boat, does being that cold make the gel coat vulnerable to cracking

A buddy and myself went to Tennessee in late November to pick up his new Interceptor...towed it 20 hours straight thru cold temps, rain, sleet and snow...no issues? As long as the trailer is properly sized and the rollers or bunks line up correctly, shouldn't be an issue? If you're gonna run a cover, make sure it's up to the task of the prolonged distance and weather (i.e. straps not buffeting against gel coat, pressure points slicing thru cover)? To me it's a double-edged sword...tow with covers and risk some rubbing/ripping or tow without and risk filling your boat with street dust and possible snow/rain?

Other than tire pressure and making sure the brake lines aren't frozen you have no worries.

gel on snowmobiles handles the cold just fine

no the cold won't hurt he boat unless you have water somewhere it shouldn't be from lack of winterization

only if you hit something with the boat

My biggest concern with towing in this weather (I've done it many times) is salt spraying up off the road.

I cancel the trip if there's too much road grime or be ready to clean and wipe it off when you get to where your going.

I destroyed 4 tires from under inflation. Make sure they are at the correct max psi on the sidewall.
You may want to drive around a bit before hooking the rig up to the trailer. Just warming it up won't do much to get the transmittion or rear end up to temp(though im not sure if it really matters)

I've seen boats being towed at -45 many times. Pretty much the norm here in the winter.
At -5, I think you have zero to worry about with the boat.
I don't start worrying about tires until it get close to -60.
It was -58 this morning so I did walk around the old van once before driving away.
