WOULD LOW OIL CAUSE THE ENGINE TO GO INTO S.L.O.W ? the book says no. engine is getting plenty fuel and oil was low, sorry its a 1990 225 rude, checked pulse limiter its blue, ran at low rpm fine alarm would only go of at around 3000 RPM.DID just do a decarb prior to this happening, have a 6 gallon tank with 100/1 ratio ready to go to see if its the main tank problem. last thing should i pull the pulse limiter and clean anyway?

Your mix is wrong. Should be 50/1. Best of luck. Rick.

Exactly correct. ^^^^

Forget the pulse limiter. Quit guessing. Determine why the alarm is going off...overheat, fuel restriction, low oil or no oil.
My bet is on fuel restriction, by the way. Figure out WHICH failure it is, then debug.

Re: Ezeke help

found the problem-fuel restriction, set my compressor to 20 lbs disconnected fuel line going to engine, opened up the gas gauge float opening, blew air threw took a second or 2 then lots of bubbles, took boat out ran at wot no horn no drop in rps. side note to fireman 57 the 100/1 mix in the 6 gallon tank is what my bible says to do after the VRO has been serviced or disconnected.

Re: Ezeke help

You're reading from the wrong bible. Use 50:1. If the VRO isn't working, 100:1 will cause damage.
