I have a Yamaha F200 TRXB that has a warning buzzer problem. When starting the engine from cold, approx. 5 minutes of idling the warning buzzer will sound. If I turn the engine off then restart the buzzer will not sound again. Now while under normal operation everything seems to be ok.
If the engine idles for a long period of time after the first start up,approx. 10 to 15 minutes the warning buzzer will sound sound again.

I have already installed a new water pump assembly, and new thermostats. And with the use of a Laser Heat temp sensor gun the engine appears to be running at normal temperature. There is water coming out of the little squrit tube from the side, and feels just warm.

Does any body have any idea what might be going here ??

Thanks for any help or ideas.Service agents are not an opition,we're located in the out islands of the Bahamas. Thanks again for any input.

Justintime, I wasn't aware the '03 Four Strokes had water/fuel sensor....just the HPDI's back then? Next time this happens, while alarm going off, look at the voltage on gauge...bet it's under 11 volts....

hpdi just started the water
if it was battery volts code 19 will be stored
code 27 is for water
it could be low oil pressure also

i would plug it into yds

Hey Justintime,....I checked for water in the fuel filter today, but no water found.I could not see any way the CDI unit could even sense water in the fuel on this model (no probes in the filter unit)and the red ring was still on the bottom.I'm also using a 2 micron fuel water seperator as well.I do have a shop manual, but it's only the manual that can be purchase from the Yamaha parts dept.I don't think it's the real manual a dealer would use altough it is sold by Yamaha.I need to check the charge out put voltage, cause I noticed today that some times the engine seems to suggle during starting only. But this only happens on extremely long runs.I'm not aware that that the warning system can detect low charge voltage. Thanks for all the input.

Hi All whats the best way to check the output charge voltage ?? right at the battery terminals?.. and should I wait till the warning buzzer sounds. If the charge voltage is below spec what has failed?? The rectifier or the regulator.

Thanks Wildman.

Yeah, that'd work here....and you might load test your battery(even @ Autozone if you have to) if that test good....and check All the grounds(EFI model is more sensetive) but all Yamahas need good grounds...but problem may not be charging related....

Re: F 200 TRXB warning buzzer ???

on the V F motors.several conditons have to be met to trigger either overheat or low oilpressure.
for overheat there is a time delay after engine start then both the overtemp switch(s) and the engine temp sesor have to agree or the alarm wont set.
the oilpressure is set up as a map and depending on RPM the ECU will determine when to set oil alarms.
the digital tach will show battery, oil and overtemp as a visual icon.
in the absence of that the 70 dollar diagnostic test lamp will tell you what condition set the alarm.
you may have an issue, you may not.
be aware the oilpressure sender is over 300 dollars now.
