F225 VST FILTER CHECK?

i would like to check the vst filter in a 04 225 4 stroke- I have the service manual which shows the breakdown but does not give good details. is the filter check similar to that of the ox66's which i have been reading on these posts?. are the o ring gaskets reusable? any comments appreciated.

the picture you see in the service manual is all you need. yamaha could easily have included the text but a picture tells... you know the rest. this is a job you should leave to a tech. if you want to do something constructive for your fuel system install a 10 micron fuel filter of sufficient volume. then take it to a dealer for the vst service.
