Hello,<br />Can someone please tell me what position the face seal needs to be in to complete my Alpha 1 Gen II water pump install?<br /><br />It has a "skirt" at the bottom. Does this "skirt" just press against the top of the water pump housing, or is it supposed to snap into the housing opening around the drive shaft?<br /><br />The manual that I have, as well as the instructions that came with my water pump replacement kit are as clear as mud, but seem to indicate that this "face seal" doesn't snap into the opening around the drive shaft, but rather just presses against the top of the water pump housing.<br /><br />If this is the case, how does it prevent water being blown up past the drive shaft?<br /><br />Thank you,<br />Barrett
